Purpose
Integrate a compatible digital steering-wheel angle instrument into the alignment workflow.
How it works
What the software does.
The ROMESS instrument mounts to the steering wheel, measures its angle continuously and sends the reading to SureAlign through the supported connection. The alignment screen then guides the technician to the defined centre reference.
When to use
Where it fits in the workflow.
Use when the vehicle procedure, workshop standard or final verification requires an instrumented steering-wheel centre measurement.
Benefits
Practical value in the alignment bay.
- Adds an objective steering-angle reference
- Shows steering position inside the alignment workflow
- Supports repeatable centring and final verification
Availability
Configuration limitation.
Requires compatible ROMESS equipment and a supported SureAlign configuration. It does not replace any separate steering-angle sensor calibration required by the vehicle manufacturer.
