FAQ

Are QC15 and QC20 Used on Wheel Balancers?

No. QC15 and QC20 are tire-grip target clamps for TreadPlus wheel aligners; they are not wheel-balancer clamping accessories.

Direct answer

QC15 and QC20 attach alignment targets to the tire during wheel-alignment measurement. Wheel balancers use separate shaft, cone, collet or flange mounting systems.

01

QC15 and QC20 belong to wheel alignment.

02

They grip the tire rather than the rim.

03

They carry an alignment target.

04

Balancer mounting uses different adapters.

What QC15 and QC20 do

The clamps create a stable target reference on the tire sidewall while avoiding direct contact with the rim during normal use. The aligner cameras observe the targets to calculate wheel geometry.

Why they do not belong on a balancer

A balancer must center and rotate the complete tire-and-wheel assembly on its shaft. That requires a cone, collet, flange plate or another approved centering adapter—not an alignment target clamp.

Choosing between QC15 and QC20

QC15 supports common passenger-vehicle tire sizes. QC20 extends the range for larger tire assemblies. Confirm the selected aligner configuration and operating range.
